STUDENT CLUBS AND SOCIETIES

University students have many ways of spending or employing their leisure time. Some students take delight in games, others in societies and clubs. The Dean of Students is the registrar of all clubs and societies. Each club or society has a Patron/ Matron or Advisor who is chosen by the club members themselves. Before a society or club is registered members of the club will have sat down to state the name, membership conditions and purpose of the society. They will also have formulated and established rules to govern the club members and the business of the club or society. The University demands that the student club members and through their club membership contribute substantially to the community around the University, to the village and beyond up to national and international levels. However, the club or society members enhance unity, peace and sometimes, harmony and good ethics.
