School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science
 The School of Pharmacy will initially offer the following degree

Our objective is to produce pharmacists who have excellent academic potentials of knowledge competence in order to meet the pharmaceutical requirements and standards of the country.

Programmes Offered

The training offered by the School of Pharmacy consists of a four year course leading to the B.Pharm Degree, followed by one year of internship at any approved hospital pharmacy or industry.

The courses which are run by the School of Pharmacy include:

The following are additional to the University entrance requirements
 

Direct Entry Qualification

  • Principal passes at minimum of D grade in Chemistry and Biology.
  • AND any pass in Physics or Mathematics or Basic Applied Mathematics at ACSEE.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with principal passes at grade C or above in Chemistry or Biology in that order.

     Equivalent Qualification

     NOTE: Additional requirements may apply for specific courses. Application forms may be collected from the Office of Admissions, St John’s University of Tanzania or downloaded the forms here.
    Admission is subject to the approval of the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
