INTRODUCTION:
The Library of St.John's University of Tanzania is one of the major components of the university contributing to the fullfilment of the strategic plan drawn during its formation. It seeks to provide appropriate and adequate books, journals and other up-to-date learning materials or resources including ICT facilities together with an adequate reading area that is environmentally conduicive for serious studies.

The current sitting capacity of Library users is about 366 at a time and the size of the collection is about 90000 volumes. Therefore students are encouraged to visit and use the Library as much as they can and they should see the Library as an important tool to bridge the gap between the lecture notes provided by lecturers and information resources contained in it.

SERVICES:
Lending section:
Lending books for use outside the library, students are provided with 5 borrowers tickets and are given two weeks to stay with the books borrowed from this section. The books can be returned on or before the date indicated on the date label. Staff members are provided with up to 15 borrowers tickets and are given up to four weeks to remain with the books to allow them have enough time to prepare lecture notes for their students.
